Abstract

This development research aims to produce material class guidance booklets for students skills in disclosing positive, practical and effective positive responses. Development is carried out with the Rowntree model which consists of the planning, development, and evaluation stages. The subject of the study consisted of 28 students of VIII SMP Negeri 45 Palembang. Data were colected through student needs analysis questionnaires, interview guides for material experts and linguists, interview guidelines fir students and classroom guidance tests totaling 20 multiple choice questions. Data analisis is in the from of quantitive. The results showed that the booklet was declared valid by the validation of material experts and linguists. In the one to one evaluation phase, the stated practical booklet tested on three students with high, moderate, academic abilities. The booklet has been declared effective, as evidenced by the achievement of an increase in the results of the guidance test which obtained a gain score of 0.64. Thus, a booklet can acadequately help students develop skills in disclosing positive responses. Keywords: classroom guidance, booklet, disclosure of positive response
