Abstract
Currently, there are still many students in high school who are still confused in determining the scientific field in higher education, even though the scientific field is one of the important things before determining the college they want to enter. They still depend on their parents or friends when they want to choose a scientific field, these high school students don't have a strong reason to choose what the scientific field they want to enter. In this study, the data mining technique, namely clustering, can be used to cluster the scientific fields based on their scores so that it can help improve the accuracy of the scientific fields selection. Processing grades based on the value of subjects from semester 1 to semester 5. This study uses the K-Medoids method which is a method for conducting clustering. The results of the research and the system building can be used as a reference for high school students so that they are not wrong in choosing the scientific fields and can assist in determining the scientific fields in higher education later. The data obtained were 231 high school students, then the data was divided into 5 clusters.
