Abstract
Korean Drama "Shooting Stars" is a romantic comedy series that highlights a complex romance and life as an employee in the entertainment industry. This drama depicts the efforts of a public relations practitioner in resolving conflicts within the company. The purpose of this research is to understand how conflict management representation is carried out by public relations practitioners in the drama series "Shooting Stars." This study uses the constructivism paradigm. The researcher applies Roland Barthes' semiotics theory and a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used in this study include documentation, observation, and literature study. The research results show that the drama "Shooting Stars" represents PR conflict management with complexity involving various aspects other than conflict resolution. This drama depicts PR as a strategic and multifaceted profession, which includes planning, communication, and effective problem solving. These findings also reveal that popular media plays an important role in shaping public perceptions of the public relations profession. By combining semiotic analysis and public relations theory, this research provides in-depth insight into how public relations practices are represented in popular culture. This research also emphasizes the importance of understanding media representation to gain a more comprehensive picture of the roles and challenges faced by PR practitioners.
