Abstract

The research objective was to determine the relationship between motivation of career development and adversity quotient on working students in palembang. The study hypothesis that there is relationship between motivation of career development and adversity quotient on working students in palembang. The population of this study is the students which working as a permanent employee more than 7 hours in one day (Monday – Friday), least educated is D3 and SHS. The total population of this study is unknown, so the researcher using roscoe as the method to determine the sample of this population. Motivation of career development and adversity quotient measured by the scale motivation of career development and adversity quotient, with reference to the dimensions of motivation by Siagian (2014) and adversity quotient by Stoltz (2004). Data analysis using correlation analysis. The result of the correlation analysis obtained by value of correlation 0,309 and signification 0,000. It shows that motivation of career development have a positive correlation to adversity quotient. Thus the hypothesis is accepted.
