Abstract

This research aims to analyze the water availability of shallow lebak swamplandin Glebek Dalam Village, Rambutan Sub-district, Banyuasin Regency, SouthSumatra. The research was conducted from March to May 2024. The methodusedwas quantitative method and descriptive analysis, then the analysis of water availability in shallow lebak swamp land using the f.j mock method was carriedout by analyzing average monthly rainfall data and climatological data in the formof air temperature, air humidity, length of sunshine, and wind speed in the last 5years obtained from BMKG data then analyzed using the Microsoft Excel 2010program. . The amount of daily rain in one month is high in March, whichis326.90 mm/month. While the lowest amount of daily rain in one month occurredin September with a value of 2,5 mm/month. The highest potential evapotranspiration occurred in December at 21,79 mm/month due to higher temperatures, which increased the rate of evaporation and transpiration. Streamflow or flow discharge in shallow lebak swamp land based on the mock methodis1530,65 m3/year where the highest stream flow or flow discharge occurs in Marchwhich is 247,53 m3 /month and the lowest stream flow or flow discharge occurs inSeptember which is 0,42 m3 /month. By analysing this water availability, we canconsider the development of water storage infrastructure for rice plants in shallowlebak swamplands to ensure sufficient water availability during months withlowwater discharge.
