Abstract

Rubber plants (Hevea brasilliensis) are one of the leading agricultural products because they have an important role in Indonesia and support the country's economy as a source of foreign exchange income. Currently, the rubber commodity is in the public spotlight because income from rubber farming is low due to low rubber prices.. The objectives of this research are to determine the basic price of rubber material production in Panca Tunggal Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, analyze the minimum selling price of rubber material to meet living needs based on the basic production price, rice price, and farmers' consumption expenditure rubber in Panca Tunggal Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency and analyze the level of welfare of rubber farmers measured in terms of income in accordance with Decent Living Needs (KHL) standards in Panca Tunggal Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The method used in this research was a survey method. The results of this research show that the cost of production in Panca Tunggal Village is IDR 1,316/kg which is obtained from the total production costs divided by the amount of rubber produced. Furthermore, in the research, the minimum price was obtained from the average annual household consumption expenditure of IDR 28,935,429 divided by the amount of rubber production per year of 2,325 kg/Ha plus the cost of production of IDR 1,316, resulting in a minimum price of IDR 12,446/kg. Meanwhile, for the level of welfare of rubber farmers Panca Tunggal Village based on fulfilling the components of a decent life, it is known that there are 5 farmers or 14,29% who fall into the prosperous criteria and those who fall under the unprosperous criteria are 30 farmers or 85,71%. This shows that the low price of rubber in Panca Tunggal Village has a big impact on the income and level of welfare of farmers.
