Abstract
The oyster mushroom baglog press machine functions to compact or press the oyster mushroom baglog after the sterilization and inoculation processes are complete. This process is important to create ideal conditions for the growth of oyster mushrooms in the baglog. This study aims to test the performance of the cylindrical oyster mushroom baglog press machine. The study will be conducted from May to July 2024 in Payakabung Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The method used in this study is a descriptive method, namely by testing the performance of the press machine directly. The parameters observed in this study were the pulley rotation speed, v-belt length, v-belt speed, pressure. Pulley rotation speed 62 r / min v-belt length 1054.52 mm / 1.05 m, v-belt speed 4.4 m / s. The density pressure obtained from the calculation results using a press machine is 6145.5 N / m³. The theoretical capacity of the press machine is 360 baglogs per hour, and the effective capacity of the press machine is 300 baglogs per hour, the efficiency of the press machine is 83%. The yield is 67.4%. The electricity consumption of the press machine is 421.23 Watts.
