Abstract

Germination of Sweet Corn Seeds (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) at Different Treatment of Water Soaking (Supervised by Erizal Sodikin and Fitra Gustiar). This research aims to determine the effect of water soaking to growth of sweet corn seed sprouts (Zea mays saccharata sturt) The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments of length of water soaking and 4 replications, so there are 20 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 10 plant seeds, so there were 200 experimental plants. The following treatments of length of water soaking used in this study were M0: 30 minutes, M1: 1 hour, M2: 3 hours, M3: 6 hours and M4: 2 hours. Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that the various treatments of length of water soaking affected the growth of sweet corn sprout significantly. Perkecambahan Benih Jagung Manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) pada beberapa Perlakuan Lama Perendaman Air (Supervised by Erizal Sodikin dan Fitra Gustiar). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama perendaman air terhadap pertumbuhan kecambah benih jagung manis (Zea mays saccharate Sturt) Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan lamanya perendaman air serta ulangan dilakukan sebanyak 4 kali, sehingga terdapat 20 satuan percobaan. Setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 10 benih tanaman, sehingga terdapat 200 tanaman percobaan. Berikut perlakuan lama perendaman yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah M0: 30 menit, M1: 1 jam, M2: 3 jam, M3: 6 jam dan M4:12 jam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa lama perendaman air berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan kecambah jagung manis. Kunci : Jagung Manis, Perendaman Air, Kecambah
