Abstract
The research objective was to find out the adaptive lines of soybean and high potensial production in acid soil. This research was conducted on July to October 2004 at Experiment Farming of Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. Randomized Block Design (RJBD) was used in this research that consist of eight treatments. There were seven lines ( W3578-16/TGX1448-5, W3578- 16/TGX1448-9, W3578-16/TGX1448-10, D3578-3/ K3911-66-1, D3578-3/K3911- 66-2, D3578-3/K3911-66-3, D3578-3/MLG3072-15 ) and one variety as a control. This variety was Tanggamus. The result of the research showed that line of D3578 -3 / K3911 -66 (G5) was the best line from the others. It showed ffom the vegetative growth (high plant, total of effective rhizobium, and total of branch) and generative growth ( total of flower, seed pod, wet pod, seed weight per units and hundred seed weight). Tanggamus was the best potential yield compare to the lines of soybean that treated in dry acid soil.
