Abstract
The presence of bending process lo TIG weld joint areas on low alloy Steel that has been done heat treatment can cause eraeks between the parent metal lo metal welding.. Due lo the presence of eraeks in the weld joint areas, if the specimen is operated in the acidic environment besifat specimen will be quickly attacked by corrosion. his study was conducled to analyze the corrosion that occurs in connection TIG welds that are already in the process of heat treatment guenehing and normalizing that which has been bent when immersed in aqueous media swamp. The parameters will be analyzed in this study include the corrosion rate in connection with at guenehing and normalizing been bent, corrosion behavior that occurred in connection with the parent metal, dye penetrant testing and test microstructure. From the research that increasing immersion time, the corrosion rate decreases occurring.
