Abstract
With a population of 279 million people, Indonesia requires an improvement in adequate healthcare facilities. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the limited number of hospitals specifically handling lung diseases resulted in many victims not receiving timely medical treatment. The construction of the Lung Building at RSUD Siti Fatimah aims to prevent the recurrence of such a situation. The design of this building follows SNI 1726:2019 concerning earthquake-resistant buildings. The earthquake analysis was conducted using ETABS 2021 software, which includes the number and shape of modes, inter-story drift, P-delta effects, as well as horizontal and vertical irregularities. There are two models: the existing building with an additional 2 floors without shear walls (Special Moment Resisting Frame/SMRF) and with shear walls (Dual System). The addition of 2 floors aims to assess whether the building remains strong enough to withstand earthquake loads when 2 more floors are added to increase the building’s capacity. The
