Abstract
Indralaya Mulia Market is a private traditional market that sells a variety of goods such as clothing, food, glassware, and others. The purpose of this research is to analyse the condition of environmental sanitation facilities in Indralaya Mulia Market. This research was conducted using a qualitative method. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, observation, and document review and analysed descriptively. Data validity is known through triangulation of methods and triangulation of data sources. The informants in this study totalled 10 people, consisting of the head of the market management, cleaning staff, traders, and visitors or buyers. The results of this study are the condition of water sanitation facilities for hygiene and sanitation needs does not yet have a reservoir, no water treatment is available and there is no testing of water quality carried out for 6 months, temporary landfill facilities that are not yet made of strong and watertight materials, each stall has a TPS for each stall, the TPS emptying schedule is carried out every day at 4 pm, bathroom and toilet facilities are not yet separated between men and women, the condition of bathrooms and toilets is quite clean, soap and running water are available, sewerage facilities have not been built which makes the market community still dispose of the remaining waste products into the river and hand washing facilities that are not available. The conclusion from the results of this study found that there are several shortcomings, namely the distance between the clean water source and the septic tank is only 5 metres, the temporary garbage disposal facility is not made of strong and watertight materials, each kiosk, the temporary garbage disposal is not separated from the main route, the bathroom and toilet facilities between men and women are not separated, the sewerage facilities (SPAL) have not been built at all for sewerage (SPAL) Hand washing facilities use river water and are not equipped with soap or handsanitizer.
