Abstract
The research was conducted in the laboratory and in the Greenhouse Fitopatologi Department of Plant Pests and Diseases Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University Indralaya starting ffom May until November 2010. The purpose of this study was to evaluate Trichoderma and Penicillium with mass propagation of media made ffom raw sewage as an agent of biological control of plant diseases fail chili sprouts. This study using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 18 isolates PGPF treatment with various substrates and 1 control treatment as a comparison, treatment of Trichoderma isolates T2, T14 and Penicillium isolates P8, Pil. Each of these four isolates were propagated by 4 combination of medium substrate, where each treatment consisted of 3 replicates with the number of seeds in each treatment comprised 10 seeds chili. The results showed that the use of various substrates as a medium for the multiplication of Trichoderma spp. and Penicillium spp. very effective in reducing pre-emergence damping-off, post-emergence damping off and disease severity. Where the value of the emphasis for pre-emergence damping-off ffom 57*14 to 78,57%. While the emphasis for the post-emergence damping offfrom 53,55 to 93,47% and the severity of disease suppression of seedling damping from 54,46 to 75,25%.
