Abstract

Bagworm is a pest inscet who have can make damage on host palnt’s. The bagworm can eating flowers, leafs and skin of plant with very covetous. The bagworm haved a folyphage characteristic. On the much population, the bagworm eating skin of branch, and skin of twigh. So that can make the host plant become dry and at last die. A study to asses dversity of bagworm on plantation crop and horticulture crop in Ogan Ilir and Ogan Komering ilir Regency, has been carried out in April to August 2009. This study aimed to determine the similarity relationship among these sucked insect. The result show that there are 8 species of bagworm found, i.e. Chalioides kondonis Sn, Clania variegata Sn, Mahasena corbetti tams, Pteroma plagiophles Hps, Pagodiella hekmeyeri Heyl, Oiketicus abotti Templ, Clania minuscule joannis, Metisa plana, Crematophisa pendula. On plantation and horticulture crop to get is found 1-6 species of bagworm. In the presence bagworm plantation and horticulture crop has evoke attack phenomena that really typical that perforateds and dry leaf. All species of bagworm have similarity relationship that its with the host plant either to dispersal of Bagworm.
