Abstract
This research aims at knowing the influence of antagonistic plants exsudates in suppressing anthracnose disease of chili. This researched was done at Fitopatology Laboratory Pest and Plant Diseases Department, Agriculture Faculty Inderalaya, since September 2012 to April 2013. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 9 treathments and 3 replications. These exsudates were derived from lemon grass (iCymbopogon citratus Stapf.), marigolds (Cosmos caudaus Kunth), sansevieria {Sansevieria trifasciata Prain), turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val.), galangal (Alpinia galangal (L.) Swartz), canna (Canna edulis Kerr), ginger (Zingiber ojficinale Rosc.), and lesser galangal (Kaempferia galangal L.), from which the root exudates were extracted by soaking their roots for two days.. The results showed that the turmeric treatment caused the longest incubation period, 4.13 days. The Fewest number of spot on galangal treatment (0,63 spot). Treatment produced the smallest spot was of control (0,088 cm). The smallest amount of acervulus in galangal treatment (29,88 acervulus), and the lowest number of conidia is on galangal treatment, 0,458 x 10s. The best treatment in suppressing antracnose disease on chili was galangal root exudate.
