Abstract

Glass is decomposition of inorganic compounds that have been cooled without crystallization, Commonly the Waste of glass was disposed as a pile. Which cause bad effect for the environment., The glass used in this study is soda lime glass. Soda lime glass is 95% of all glass produced\ has a hardness and a good elasticity but brittle. (Callister, 2007). Soda lime glass milled up to small particle then filtered with filter. To make composite materials, glass particles mixed with polyester resin as matrix andfiberglass as reinforcements This researched is using hand lay up method Comparison of the volume fraction of resin, glass particles and fiber are 55% resin, 35% glass particles and 10% fiber glass with particle size 100, 200 and 300 mesh. The maximum value obtained in this study are contained in the 300 mesh namely: tensile stress = 98,59 N/mm2, tensile strain = 10,31% , the value of impact -0,1182 J/mm2 and a density -1,1047 gr/cm3-
