Abstract

The tin ore processing process is carried out by separating the concentrate and tailings contained. In its application, there are still many valuable minerals that escape and are wasted through tailings, causing the potential for low-grade tin ore from the rest of the processing process (SHPP). To optimize the processing of tin ore, it is necessary to carry out further processing, one of which is by using a shaking table tool. This study aims to vary the combination variables of feed grain size, deck slope, and feed weight, on a laboratory scale to find out the most optimal combination variables and analyze the influence of variables on level acquisition and recovery and the relationship of each variable to level acquisition and recovery. Experiments on tin ore samples from the Mineral Processing Field of PT Timah Tbk. Muntok were used with a combination of variables with variations in grain sizes of 50#, 70#, and 100#, table tilts of 20, 30, and 40, and feed weights of 100 grams, 150 grams, and 200 grams. After experimentation with a combination of these variables, the highest Sn content was obtained at 12.49%, namely at a size of 100#, a slope of 20, and a feed weight of 200 grams. And the highest recovery of 96.91% at a grain size of 50#, a slope of 20, and a feed weight of 200 grams. The combination of variables had an effect of 85.9% on levels and had an effect of 78.2% on recovery. The grain size has a negative effect on the rate and positively on recovery, the slope of the deck has a negative effect on the rate and recovery and the feed weight has a positive effect on the rate and recovery.
