Abstract

Sawi Langit plant (Ageratum conyzoides Linn.) is a wild plant used for healing diseases caused by diarrhea and abscess. This plant has etnomedicine history as pathogen infection remedy, and is promising as a candidate to obtain antibacterial activity from endophitic. The utilization of endophitic fungi is one of efficient method to obtain antibacterial substance. This research was initialized by the extraction of endophitic fungi biomass via soxhletation and was evaporated until methanol thick extract was obtained. Biomass methanol extract was being done antibacterial activity test against Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis bacteria. Methanol extract that gave strong cathegory of activity (DSL1) was then separated and purified with chromatography method. Pure substance which was successfully isolated has the form of white crystalline. The following analysis was molecular structure analysis using spectroscopy which included spectroscopy infrared, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. Based on spectroscopy data analysis and literature data, the result of isolation substance is mannitol. Keyword (s) : endophitic fungi,Ageratum conyzoides Linn.
