Abstract
PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk is one of the companies engaged in coal mining, which is headquartered in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra. Mining activities in PT.BA system using open-pit mining (surface mining). PT.BA has several mining sites one of which is Pit 1 Mine West Banko. Banko Barat Pit 1 in conducting stripping overburden using a combination of three units excavators dug bakchoe as a means of loading and 15 units of dump trucks as a means of conveyance. Target stripping overburden in October 2014 amounted to 450,000 bcm. Based on the results of data processing in October 2014, the actual production trencher fit only reached 430,893.00 bcm. While the actual production only reached 393,174.00 conveyance bcm. Therefore, it is necessary for an evaluation of production capabilities excavator loading and transportation means in order to determine the cause of the failure in the target production stripping overburden in Banko Barat Pit 1. After the evaluation excavator production capability of loading and transportation, it is still possible to be done to increase production by increasing the effective working time and work efficiency. Based on the calculation after the increase, the production of excavator loading increased to 500,148.00 bcm. While the production of transport equipment increased to 456,327.00 bcm.
