Abstract
Fatigue is one of the most disturbing symptoms and reported to occur in 50-92% of SLE patients. Fatigue experienced by SLE children can affect the child's ability to do activities and reduce qualify of life. One of the physical activities proven to reduce fatigue is progressive muscle relaxation. Progressive muscle relaxation is easy to perform, affordable, noninvasive and side-effect-free. This activity can be used to improve qualify of life. The objective of this study is to present the results of pediatric nursing practice that focuses on nursing care for SLE children with fatigue problems in accordance with the review of evidence-based learning. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach and journal review on SLE pediatric patients with fatigue problems. Based on the results of the assessment of the three managed patients, it was found that the three patients had the same main complaint, i.e : fatigue. Based on the results of the journal review, an appropriate intervention is progressive muscle relaxation. The results of the final evaluation revealed that three was a decrease in fatigue in the three patients, 1 patient from severe fatigue to moderate fatigue and 2 patients from moderate fatigue to mild fatigue. In conclusion, progressive muscle relaxation had an effect on reducing patient's fatigue. The implementation of progressive muscle relaxation can be used as evidence in pediatric nursing related to fatigue management in children with SLE
