Abstract

Penelitian ini melaporkan tentang potensi campuran minyak mineral dan canola oil sebagai alternatif minyak transformator di masa depan dengan melakukan penambahan pengisi SiO2 serta mengetahui kinerja isolasi minyak tersebut melalui pengujian tegangan tembus. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap sampel campuran minyak mineral dan canola oil dengan pengisi SiO2 pada konsentrasi 0,2g/L, namun dengan variasi yang berbeda-beda yaitu 100:0, 80:20, 60:40, 50:50, 40:60, 20:80, 0:100 untuk mendapatkan nilai tegangan tembus pada masing-masing sampel serta dilakukan pengujian terhadap sampel campuran minyak mineral dan canola oil tanpa pengisi sebagai kontrol dengan variasi serupa yang berguna sebagai pembanding. Adapun sampel diuji menggunakan test cell berkapasitas 500 ml dan volume sampel 350 ml dengan sistem elektroda bola-bola berdiameter 13mm dan jarak sela antar elektroda 2,5mm. Hasil pengujian yang didapatkan dengan variasi temperatur 0:100, 20:80, 40:60, 50:50, 60:40, 80:20, 100:0 pada sampel kontrol secara berturut-turut adalah 10,46 kV; 21,40 kV; 22,30 kV; 25,96 kV; 26,61 kV; 33,92 kV; 22,91 kV. Kemudian, pada sampel berpengisi SiO2 secara berturut-turut adalah 40,41 kV; 41,99 kV; 43,64 kV; 47,60 kV; 47,05 kV; 57,99 kV; 47,88 kV. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh penambahan nanopartikel SiO2 menyebabkan peningkatan nilai tegangan tembus isolasi karena sifat SiO2 yang memiliki konduktivitas termal yang baik dan stabilitas yang tinggi dan tahan terhadap suhu yang tinggi. Kemudian perbandingan nilai tegangan tembus pada hasil pengujian terhadap beberapa variasi sampel menunjukan bahwa sampel 80 : 20 pada campuran minyak mineral dan minyak canola yang berpengisi SiO2 menunjukkan nilai terbaik karena memiliki nilai tegangan tembus paling tinggi. This tesis result of a research in topic potential of a mixture of mineral oil and canola oil as an alternative to transformer oil in the future by adding SiO2 filled and determining the insulation performance of these oils through breakdwon voltage testing. Testing was carried out on samples of mineral oil and canola oil mixture with SiO2 filler at a concentration of 0,2g/L but with different variations ; 100:0, 80:20, 60:40, 50:50, 40:60, 20:80, 0:100 to obtain the permeability value in each sample and testing was carried out on samples of mineral oil and canola oil mixturewithout filler as a control with similar variations that are useful as a comparison. The samples were tested using a test cell with a capacity of 500 ml and a sample volume of 350 ml with a system of spherical electrodes with a diameter of 13mm and a spacing between electrodes of 2.5mm. The test results obtained with variation sampels of 0:100, 20:80, 40:60, 50:50, 60:40, 80:20, 100:0 in the control samples were 10.46 kV; 21.40 kV; 22.30 kV; 25.96 kV; 26.61 kV; 33.92 kV; 22.91 kV. Then, the samples with SiO2 filled were 40.41 kV; 41.99 kV; 43.64 kV; 47.60 kV; 47.05 kV; 57.99 kV; 47.88 kV. The results show that the effect of the addition of SiO2 nanoparticles causes an increase in the value of insulation breakdown voltage due to the properties of SiO2 which has good thermal conductivity and high stability and is resistant to high temperatures. Then the comparison of the permeability value in the test results on several sample variations showed that the sample of 80 : 20 variations of mineral oil and canola oil with SiO2 as filler showed the best value because the breakdown voltage value was the highest.
