Abstract

Palembang typical carvings one of the cultural heriage that is now increasingly forgotten. The more the lack of craftsmen due to lack of training and lack of container facuities were adequate at the current location in 19 Ilir be one factor. At the end of the 201'5 enactment of the Asean & anomic Community (AEC) opened up opportunities for traders engraving to compete in the global market with a unique ornament carvings. Typical Carving Palembang Trade Centre aims to facilitate the activities of trade and training and fintshing in one location which is located in Jakabaring. Supported by a wide range of facilities that can support the smoothness and comfort of activities. Critical Regionalism is wearing a design approach based on the theory that Kenneth Funton modernization are unavoidable and appreciate the existing first as naratural and local wisdom. Critical Regionalisme has three key word,; that is a response to the local culture, the state geography and climate, which is implemented on the concept of activity zones, the. architecture, architectural detail, vegetation, materials and mass composition. With the formation of the modern out still does not leave its local identity, is expected to provide shopping and educational travel destinations that attract people and tourists so Palembang typical carvings remain sustainable.
