Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of net exports and foreign investment on Indonesia's economic growth. Economic growth is measured using Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data, while net exports reflect the difference between the value of exports and imports. Foreign investment is represented by Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The data used is secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia within a certain time period. This research uses annual secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency, Bank Indonesia and the World Bank for 2001-2022. The regression results in this study show that partially exports have a positive and significant effect, while imports have a negative and insignificant effect. Furthermore, the variable net exports and foreign investment simultaneously does not have a significant influence on Gross Domestic Product which will increase Indonesia's economic growth. The analysis was carried out using the multiple linear regression method to determine the relationship between these variables. The research results show that net exports and foreign investment have a significant influence on Indonesia's economic growth. Net exports make a positive contribution through increasing the trade surplus, while foreign investment plays a role in supporting capital formation and technology transfer. This study suggests the importance of economic policies that support increased export competitiveness and a conducive investment climate to encourage sustainable economic growth.
