Abstract

Rubber plants are plantation commodities that have a very important role in Indonesia, rubber makes a significant contribution as a source of non-oil and gas foreign echange, suppliers of rubber raw materials and plays an important role in encouraging the growth of new economic centers in the rubber development area. Organic fertilizer is a fertilizer that is mostly or entirely composed of organic matter derived from plants or animals that have gone through a process of fermentation or decay, can be solid or liquid. The use of liquid organic fertilizer is one way to overcome the shortage of organic matter, because it can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. Increasing yields both in quality and quantity and being able to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers. This research aims to determine the volume dosage of banana stem liquid organic fertilizer is best for the growth of rubber budded stump. This research was carried out in Meranjat Ilir with coordinates 3,31095º N, 104, 67637º E, South Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra from September 2023 to January 2024. The experimental design was used a Randomized Block Design consisting of 5 liquid organic fertilizer levels with 5 replications and each Replications consisted of 4 plants, so there were100 plants. The treatments in this study were: Banana stem liquid organic fertilizer, P0 = Control, P1= 15 % V/V, P2= 30 % V/V, P3= 45 % V/V and P4= 60 % V/V, each three weeks in the same gove volume. The variable observed were sprouting time, plant height, stem diameter, number of leaf petioles, number of leaves, number of umbrellas, the greenish leaf, leaf area and soil pH. Based on the research results, it showed that banana stem liquid organic fertilizer treatment gove the best results on P4 with a dose of 60 % V/V.
