Abstract
The nitrobenzene manufacturing plant with a production capacity of 63,000 tons/year is planned to be established in 2030 in the Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC) Industrial Area, West Java Province. Nitrobenzene in this plant is synthesized through an adiabatic nitration process from benzene and nitric acid raw materials with sulfuric acid catalyst through a Plug Flow Reactor (PFR) based on Patent WO2024/003050A1. This plant is in the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational system led by a director with 151 employees. The nitrobenzene plant is feasible to be established because it has met the economic feasibility parameters: - Total Capital Investment (TCI) = US$ 38,710,139.16 - Total Product Sales = US$ 190,696,426.84 - Total Production Cost (TPC) = US$ 147,234,873.73 - Annual Cash Flow (ACF) = US$ 24,287,399.05 - Pay Out Time (POT) = 1.59 Years - Rate of Return on Investment (ROR) = 78.59% - Discounted Cash Flow – ROR = 159.14% - Break Even Point (BEP) = 30.06% - Service Life = 11 Years
