Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan Formaldehida dengan kapasitas produksi 60.000 ton/tahun ini direncanakan akan berdiri pada tahun 2034 berlokasi di Kawasan Industri Kaltim Industrial Estate (KIE) Bontang, Kalimantan Timur dengan luas 4,0 ha. Proses pembuatan Formaldehida ini mengacu pada Patent CN2023/111559960 B, dimana proses yang digunakan adalah proses dehidrogenasi metanol menjadi formaldehida. Reaksi tersebut berlangsung dalam Fixed Bed Reactor (500oC, 4 atm). Bahan baku yang digunakan dalam pembuatan formaldehida adalah metanol dan katalis silver. Pabrik ini berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi Line and Staff, dipimpin oleh seorang direktur dengan jumlah karyawan sebanyak 77 orang. Berdasarkan Analisis Ekonomi, pabrik formaldehida ini layak untuk didirikan karena telah memenuhi parameter kelayakan ekonomi, yaitu: 1) Total Capital Investment = USD$ 27.557.116.76 2) Selling Price Per Year = USD$ 77.545.392,57 3) Total Production Cost = USD$ 43.774.841,61 4) Annual Cash Flow = USD$ 25.893.833,39 5) Pay Out Time = 1,1726 Tahun 6) Rate of Return = 85,78% 7) Discounted Cash Flow = 93,90% 8) Break Event Point = 33,86% 9) Service Life = 11 Tahun Kata Kunci : Formaldehida, Fixed Bed Reactor, Dehidrogenasi, Katalis Silver.
