Abstract

This thesis research aims to analyze the aspects of protectian for itlegal immigrants in Indonesia which are contained in nationsl and international legal instruments. In addition, for analyzing and knowing what efforts need to be taken by Indonesian Government to maximize the protection of illegal immigrants in Indonesia. The research method used is a normative legal research, namely legal research done by researching secondary data. Approaching methods used are descriptive juridical analytical approach and historitical approach. The results showed that in terms of material law,formol law andpractice, Indonesian Government has beenproviding the law protection for illegal immigrants especially the vict.ims or objects of human trffieking and person sruuggling who entered Indonestqyt territory. Efforts should be made by Indonesian Government are ta undertake intersectoral coordination between lan enforcer, socialization to the public related to sensitivity of the presence of strangersas well as increase caaperation with ather cauntries and international organization.
