Abstract

This study examines "The Analysis of Instagram Hate Speech Through Social Media Studies in Indonesian Pageants Community". The purpose of this study was to determine the trend level of hate speech sentences found in the comments column Pageant Lovers @garudapageants Instagram account. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative research methods. Data collection techniques are carried out with documentation. This study uses the concept of Hate Speech according to Margaret and Jeffrey. The results of the study found that there was a tendency for hate speech comments to appear in the @garudapageants Instagram account. Based on the calculation results, it can be concluded that the highest percentage number is found in the third aspect, namely the insulting aspect of 0.88%. From the number of percentages obtained, it can be concluded that the concept of hate speech is based on dimensional derivatives consisting of aspects of provocation, incitement aspects and aspects of insults that have the highest level of aspects of insults of 0.88%.
