Abstract

Penelitian survei tentang ragam Avifauna ordo Passeriformes telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis burung yang terdapat di Desa kedaton, Kecamatan Peninjauan, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU). Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode jelajah yang dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali dari tanggal 9-23 Februari 2015. Karakter morfologi yang diamati adalah warna paruh, tipe paruh, warna bulu, warna sisik kaki, tipe kaki dan tipe ekor. Data morfometrik yang diukur adalah panjang total, Panjang baku, panjang paruh, rentang sayap, panjang kaki dan panjang ekor. Karakter morfologi dan data morfometrik tersebut selanjutnya disusun dalam deskripsi dan kunci determinasi. Hasil penelitian diketahui terdapat 14 jenis yang tergolong dalam 8 suku 14 jenis tersebut adalah Pycononotus aurigaster (Cucak kutilang), Pycononotus melanicterus (Cucak kuning), Pycononotus simplex (Merbah corokcorok), Setornis criniger (Empuloh paruh kait), Passer montanus (Gereja-erasia), Delichon dasypus (Layang-layang rumah), Aethopyga siparaja (Madu sepah raja), Anthreptes singalensis (Madu belukar), Nectarinia jugularis (Madu sriganti), Orthotomus ruficeps (Cinenen kelabu), Prinia familiaris (Perenjak jawa), Dicaeum trigonostigma (Cabai bunga api), Copsychus saularis (Kucica kampung) dan Acridotheres javanicus (Kerak kerbau).
