Abstract

This study discusses about the ability to diagnose vehicle petrol car for prospective students P4 mechanical engineering education of sriwijaya university. The aim of this study is to determine the ability of diagnose petrol cars as stock and preparation before attending the activities P4 in mechanical engineering education of sriwijaya university. The subjects of this study are students of mechanical engineering education FKIP 2013 of Unsri force Indralaya classes totaling 25 students were carried out on 21 February 2016 and Palembang class numbered 22 students were held on February 28, 2016. This research method using descriptive methods - quantitative. For Indralaya grade results obtained from the test are 20 students were able to diagnose and 5 students are less able to diagnose with an average grade 77.44, while for Palembang class there are 18 students are able to diagnose and 4 students are less able to diagnose with an average grade 74.36.
