Abstract

Pabrik asam asetat dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar 26.000 ton/tahun ini direncanakan akan didirikan dalam tahun 2030 berlokasi pada Jalan Raya, Pupuk Raya, Bontang Utara, Bontang, Kalimantan Timur menggunakan area pendirian dengan luas 5,2 ha. Proses perancangan pabrik ini bersumber dalam Patent EP No.2653460 B2, 2022, dimana metode proses yg dipakai adalah proses karbonilasi metanol dibantu dengan aktivitas katalis Iridium-Lantanum dalam Karbon (Ir-La/C) menjadi asam asetat. Reaksi berlangsung pada Bubble Packed Bed Reactor menggunakan temperatur 150°C dengan tekanan 19 atm. Pabrik pembuatan asam asetat ini dalam bentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan seorang direktur sebagai pimpinan. Perusahaan ini menerapkan sistem organisasi berupa line and staff dengan menggunakan karyawan berjumlah 121 orang. Perancangan pabrik asam asetat ini layak untuk didirikan lantaran sudah sesuai dengan indikator kelayakan ekonomi. Kata Kunci: Asam Asetat, Bubble Packed Bed Reactor, Perseroan Terbatas
