Abstract
The objective of this research was to analyze the technical and financial feasibility of floated subsurface irrigation on pakchoy crop using soil, charcoal husks and manure media and examines thegrowth of plants. This study was conducted in house plant department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya. The timing of the study in January to June 2015. This research used descriptive method by analyzing the technical data and financial. Technical analysis includes hydraulic conductivity values for planting media and media of suction as well as the production of pakchoy crop. For financial analysis includes fixed costs, variable costs, unexpected costs, BEP (Break Even Point), NPV (Net Present Value), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B / C) and the sensitivity analysis. Results of research showed, technically hydraulic conductivity values for planting media is 1,73·10-6 and for the media of suction is 3,16·10-5. The average weight of fresh stover for each Styrofoam is 163,33 g, 186,67 g and 260 g. The average weight of dry stover is 20,74 g, 20,78 g, and 20,64 g. The average amount of leaves is 9,5., 10,83., And 12,4. The average of plant height is 21,14 cm, 21,58 cm and 22,16 cm. Financially floated subsurface irrigation system on pakchoy crop feasible the effort, analyzes was obtained used investment criteria NPV value of Rp 196.407.324,30 Net B / C of 1,05 while BEP for production volume amounted to 534.049.391 kg and BEP for price production of Rp 109.669,2 / Kg.
