Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of shading on development adventinous shoot of cocor bebek (Kalanchoe pinnata (Lam) Pers.) and Contribution in biology learning for Senior High School. The method of the experiment was based on a Complete Randomized Design (CRD), consisted of 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments used paranet with the shade 75%, 50%, 25%, and 0%. Parameters observed were, root length, time to shoots, speed of growth, shoot height, number of leaves, leaf blade width, and number of shoots. The Parameters analyzed with analysis of variance and test Duncan's new multiple range test (MRT) .The results showed that shade treatment with 50% level significantly affected time to shoots, speed of growth, shoot height and width of leaves. This means shade treatment a significant effect on the growth of adventinous shoots cocor bebek. The result of this study can be used as additional material information in High School Biology Lesson of twelve grade, firts semester on KD 3.1 especially about Growth and Development in Plants.
