Abstract

THE PURPOSE OF THE RESEARCH CONDUCTED BY THE RESEARCHER IS TO DEVELOP A TEXTBOOK FOR THE TECHNICAL DRAWING COURSE IN THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM. THE METHOD USED IN THIS RESEARCH IS THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D) METHOD EMPLOYING THE 4D INSTRUCTIONAL BOOK DEVELOPMENT MODEL. (DEFINE, DESIGN, DEVELOP, DAN DISSEMINATE). THIS ELECTRONIC TEXTBOOK IS DESIGNED TO ENHANCE STUDENTS' UNDERSTANDING OF THE FUNDAMENTALS OF TECHNICAL DRAWING, ENCOURAGE THEIR SKILLS IN READING AND CREATING TECHNICAL DRAWINGS, AND SERVE AS A REFERENCE IN TECHNICAL DRAWING EDUCATION. THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THIS RESEARCH ARE AN ELECTRONIC TEXTBOOK THAT HAS BEEN TESTED FOR VALIDITY AND CATEGORIZED AS PRACTICAL, WITH AN AVERAGE SCORE OF 4.25 FROM THE CONTENT EXPERT VALIDATION TEAM, CATEGORIZED AS VERY VALID, AND AN AVERAGE SCORE OF 4.25 FROM THE MEDIA EXPERT VALIDATION, ALSO CATEGORIZED AS VERY VALID. ADDITIONALLY, THE RESULTS OF THE ONE-TO-ONE, SMALL GROUP, AND FIELD TESTS INDICATE THAT THE CREATED TEXTBOOK IS CATEGORIZED AS VERY PRACTICAL.
