Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes of class XI B2 and class XI B3 students using the Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning learning models on the subject of Hydrocarbons at SMA IT Raudhatul Ulum. This study is a Quasi Experimental study with the Matching-Only Pretest-Posttest control group design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used test questions and observation sheets for the implementation of learning. From the results of hypothesis testing with the Independent Sample T-test, a sig. value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained, which means that there is a significant difference between the problem based learning and discovery learning models in learning outcomes. The implementation of Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning in terms of teacher and student activities experienced an increase in percentage with a good category.
