Abstract

This research aims to determine the empowerment process, the actors involved, the obstacles faced and the results of empowering housewives. This research is a descriptive analytical qualitative research with the KGS Waste Bank organizational data analysis unit. The process is carried out starting from gathering housewives together for joint exercise activities, providing motivation, recycling training, taking part in events to the evaluation process. The actors who play an important role are all KGS Waste Bank administrators, from the chairman, secretary, treasurer to other administrators, carrying out their roles to support the smooth running of empowerment. The results of empowerment are, creating a pleasant, comfortable and cohesive atmosphere, environmental awareness, gaining waste recycling skills, a variety of creative crafts, independence, innovation, ecological contribution, a sense of security, enthusiasm and self-confidence, family trust, avoiding discrimination, fulfilling access. and transportation needs, enthusiasm for continuing empowerment, meeting needs for funds and raw materials, creating visitor knowledge, increasing sales, increasing economic income, being active in various activities, increasing marketing reach, creating existence and activity support networks.
