Abstract

The purpose of this study were 1) Measure the impact of the performance of Agricultural Extension Workers on the income of rice farmers in the village of Telang Sari Village, Tanjung Lago Banyuasin, 2) Analyze the factors - factors that affect the income of farmers in the Telang Sari Village, Tanjung Lago Banyuasin. Implementation data collection in the field was conducted in March 2016 until April 2016. The method used was a survey and sampling method used was simple random sampling. The number of farmers samples taken are as many as 41 of the 410 farmers who undertake rice farming. The results of this research activity shows that the effect of performance Agricultural Extension Workers (PPL) on the level of income of rice farmers in the Telang Sari Village Tanjung Lago District Banyuasin Regency are medium criteria being with a total score average of 34.95. This means that PPL has been carrying out his performance with a good but relatively not maximized due to several factors - factors of PPL as well as from its own farmers. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the variables of labor, land, production costs and selling prices simultaneously significant effect on the income of rice farmers in the village of Telang Sari, while partially the real influence is the area of land, the cost of production and the selling price and the only variable labor no real effect.
