Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi teori atom lebih tepatnya sub-materi perkembangan model atom dan partikel penyusun atom. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Palembang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 semester ganjil dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen berbentuk Quasi Experiment dengan desain Pre test-Post test Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 70 siswa yang diambil secara acak, yaitu masing-masing 35 siswa untuk kelas X.1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas X.3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes KPS (pre-test dan post-test), serta lembar observasi. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00 < 0,05, yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa model discovery learning memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi atom.
