Abstract

The utilization of the internet in Indonesia is dominated by young people, specifically those aged 13-18 years (99.16%) and 19-34 years (98.64%), who use the internet for various purposes such as learning, working, and entertainment. Despite its numerous benefits, internet usage also poses risks, such as misuse for accessing negative content, including pornography, online gambling, and phishing. Teenagers, as the most vulnerable group, are often the primary target of these threats. Therefore, serious efforts are needed to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to use the internet wisely and safely. One concrete step to address these threats is the implementation of the Layer 7 Protocol, which has proven highly effective in filtering and blocking traffic related to online gambling sites. This protocol operates at the application layer, allowing it to identify and block access based on the content or type of suspicious applications. With its capability to perform in-depth traffic analysis, the Layer 7 Protocol can block harmful websites more accurately and efficiently, providing better protection, especially for young people who are vulnerable to the negative impacts of the internet.
