Abstract
Kecombrang (Etlingera elatior) belongs to the zingiberaceae family and the rhizome of the combrang is widely used by the community as an antioxidant. Orally dissolving film preparations can neutralize the sour taste of kecombrang flowers. The results of the total flavonoid content contained 7.700%. The FII formula was determined to be the best formula for evaluating the uniformity of levels and antioxidant testing. The FII formula obtained variations in extract concentration, some of which had a significant effect (p under 0.05). Evaluation of the FII formula was obtained as the best formula with thickness specifications of 0.05 mm, film weight of 4.08% CV, humidity of 2.70%, folding resistance more than 300 fold, percent elongation of 34.21%, disintegration time of 24 seconds. The results of the uniformity of FII formula levels obtained a % cure of 99.94%. Antioxidant testing uses FRAP reagent and ascorbic acid as a comparison. The IC50 result of kecombrang flower extract was 8861 ppm; very weak, ascorbic acid 57.99 ppm; strong, best FII formula 8351.25 ppm; very weak, comparison formula Formula III 13067.02 ppm; very weak.
