Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting, a condition where children's growth is hindered and their height is not proportional to their age, results from prolonged nutritional deficiencies. This study seeks to explore the policy network and identify both the supporting and obstructing factors influencing the implementation of the accelerated stunting reduction program in Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. The theoretical framework used in this research is Waarden's policy network theory, which encompasses aspects such as actors, structures, functions, institutionalization, rules of action, power relations, and actor strategies. The research method is qualitative in nature, using a descriptive approach to analyze the findings. The results of this study show several findings that have not fulfilled the Policy Network theory, namely functions, structures, rules of action, power relations, and actor strategies. This research recommends to the Banyuasin Regency Government, namely: 1. It is recommended that the parties involved pay more attention to human resource governance to increase resource needs and cooperation among actors involved in the policy network, increase operational funds from the Banyuasin Regency Government, and bring in technical experts from the Central Government. 2. Pay attention to the competencies and abilities of the actors involved to increase a high sense of responsibility among the actors involved in order to participate in the implementation of the accelerated stunting reduction program in Banyuasin Regency, Sumatra Province, provide training and strengthen character education so that the actors involved will be aware of their respective authorities according to written policies, and strengthen coordination meetings in the form of stunting meetings. 3. Providing strict sanctions, asking the Regional Head to make a written regulation to overcome inactive OPDs. Keywords: Policy Network, Stunting, Actors
