Abstract

Lupus erythematosus systemic (LES) is a complex autoimmune disease characterized by the presence of autoantibodies against cell nuclei and involving many organs in the body. Involvement of the innate and adaptive immune systems, in this case neutrophils, lymphocytes and platelets. Systemic inflammatory immune index (SII) is a new systemic inflammatory index, with the calculation of SII = PxN/L. The purpose of this study is to analyze correlation of systemic inflammatory immune index with the degree of disease activity in LES patients.This Study is a Cross-sectional analytical observational was conducted in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang from August to November 2024. A total of 60 LES patients were studied to determine the correlation of systemic inflammatory immune index (SII) with disease activity/Mex-sledai. Laboratory examinations include platelets, neutrophils and lymphocytes using the flow cytometry method. Of the 60 LES patients studied, they were divided into three groups based on the degree of disease activity, 20 (33.3%) had mild activity, 20% (33.3%) had moderate activity and 20% (33.3%) had severe activity. A total of (98.3%) were women with the most age being 29 years (48.3%). Statistical analysis showed a significant positive correlation between SII and disease activity (r = 0.931, p = <0.001). A statistically significant with a strong positive correlation was observed between SII and disease activity in LES patients in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang.
