Abstract

PT. Bukit Asam Tbk is a mining company engaged in coal mining and sales. This study aims to analyze the conformity and achievement of volumes based on the mining sequence plan, the resulting impacts, contributing factors, and improvement efforts. The analysis was conducted by calculating overcut, undercut, and over stripping using Minescape 5.7 software through overlaying the actual map and the mining sequence plan as well as the contour value method. The results show discrepancies in May, with overburden at 2,050,000 bcm and coal at 220,000 tons. The achievement rate of the planned volume in Pit 3 Banko 2024 was 78.97% for overburden and 115% for coal. These discrepancies impact the increase in stripping ratio. The contributing factors include prolonged maintenance of heavy equipment, which hindered daily productivity, and misalignment between geological models provided from the field and operational planning teams. Suggested improvements include implementing preventive maintenance, optimizing equipment maintenance to minimize loss and delay times, and redesigning the mining sequence for the subsequent month.
