Abstract

Rubber plants are plantation commodities that are a source of income for farmers in Indonesia because they have an important impact on the domestic economy and are a source of income for millions of farmers. world rubber producers continue to experience a decline in various factors such as disease pathogens. Disease pathogens are able to attack almost all parts of the rubber plant such as leaf fall disease caused by Colletotrichum. The test was conducted in vitro using PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar) media with 3 clones and 9 treatments namely BPM 24 (Aspergillus), BPM 24 (Penicillium), BPM 24 (Aureobasidium), IRR 39 (Nigrospora), IRR 39 (Penicillium), IRR 39 (Cephalotrichum), PB 260 (Penicillium), PB 260 (Penicillium), PB 260 (Cladosporium). The observed variables were identification of pathogenic fungi and endophytic fungi, percentage of inhibition, dry weight of mycelium. This experiment was conducted as many as 5 replicates and used a complete randomized design (CRD). Based on this study aims to find out about endophytic fungi that are antagonistic to Colletotrichum pathogens that cause leaf fall disease. The results obtained on the morphology of endophytic fungi have different colony colors and edges as well as hyphae and conidia shapes that vary. Based on the 9 isolates of endophytic fungi, there is one species that inhibits the highest, namely the fungus Aureobasidium sp. from clone BPM 24. The dry weight of mycelium in the fungus Aureobasidium sp. from clone BPM 24 has the lowest dry weight in accordance with the percentage of inhibition of endophytic fungi that have high inhibition. Aureobasidium fungus is effective to control the pathogen Colletotrichum sp.
