Abstract

This study aims to see the implementation of the Community Empowerment Program in Gasing Village, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency in 2022 and 2023 using the public policy theory by Charles O.Jones and identifying inhibiting and supporting factors for the implementation of the community empowerment program. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, documentation studies and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that improvements are needed in the implementation of the community empowerment program in Gasing Village because this program has not run optimally because deficiencies were found which were also inhibiting factors in its implementation. In the application aspect, it was revealed that there were shortcomings in the implementation of the Community Empowerment Program and a lack of Extension Human Resources to assist aid recipients in implementing the Community Empowerment Program in Gasing Village. It is known that there are several programs that are not running well as planned, and in 2022 and 2023 there are programs that are budgeted but not realized because they are not in accordance with the conditions in the village. Some suggestions that can be given to optimize this program are program planning with good preparation, provision of budget support by the Village Government, quality human resources, and support from the community and local community institutions .
