Abstract

Green open space (RTH) is a land that has benefits for greening areas, has a function in ecology, namely maintaining ecosystems, water absorption and air conditions for the better. PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard Indralaya is a company that began producing medium density fiber panels MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) has a green open space area can be found a lot of Graminae vegetation. Gramineae is a poinir plant that can grow quickly has an ecological function that can help reduce air pollution and has a role as a process of increasing organic matter and nutrients. Vegetation in green open spaces is dominated by grass plants that have different morphological characteristics, the diversity of vegetation is difficult to determine the type of plant so that to find out the type of species, identification is needed based on taxonomic studies. This study aims to determine the types of grass found in the green open space area of PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard, North Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. This research uses the exploration sampling method and the method of presenting data using qualitative descriptive methods based on the fact situation when collecting data. Determination of sampling points is in green open spaces which are divided into seven sampling points. Data from the results of the study were then described morphologically and the data were analyzed descriptively by grouping each sample and then presented in the form and image. Eight species were found in the open space at PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard , consisting of Axonopus compressus (Sw.) P.Beauv., Ottochloa nodosa (Kunth) Dandy, Imperata cylindrica (L.) Beauv., Eragrostis amabilis (L.) Wight & Arn. Pennisetum polystachion (L.) Schult, Eleusine indica (L.) Gaertn., Chloris barbata Swartz., and Panicum maximum Jacq. Keywords: PT.
