Abstract

One of the e-government policies is the change from physical identity to digital identity. This is part of the change in population administration services which is the final solution to the problem of printing KTP-El using Blangko and is the biggest complaint from the public. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Cresswell's (2021) qualitative research is a method for exploring and understanding the meaning that - by a number of individuals or a group of people - is ascribed to a social or humanitarian problem.The implementation of Digital Population Identity is a major step that brings significant benefits to the government, society, and the economy as a whole. By providing easy access to public services, enhancing security, and supporting the advancement of the digital economy, digital identity will play an important role in realizing an efficient, accountable, and public service-oriented government. However, in order for the implementation of IKD to be successful and sustainable, effective socialization and adequate protection of personal data must be carried out. With attention to these matters, the implementation of digital identity is expected to have a broad positive impact on all levels of society, while improving the quality of public services and encouraging technological progress in the country.
