Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of two-way communication using an interactive model in the political campaign "Desak Anies" during the 2024 General Election. The research employs a qualitative method through interviews, observations, and documentation. This campaign facilitates open dialogues between Anies Baswedan and the public through face-to-face meetings in various cities. The audience not only acts as message recipients but also actively provides feedback. The dynamic process of encoding and decoding enables societal issues to be directly interpreted by the candidate, creating relevant and contextual campaign strategies. Thus, this study adopts the interactive model approach to examine the two-way communication process in the "Desak Anies" campaign. The findings reveal that this two-way communication effectively achieves campaign objectives, such as garnering voter support, presenting visions and programs dialogically, building a positive image of the candidate, and mobilizing voter participation. The study asserts that "Desak Anies" successfully leveraged the interactive communication model to enhance transparency, public engagement, and shared meaning, establishing it as an innovative and relevant dialogical campaign model in Indonesia.
