Abstract

The concept of security in international relations has now evolved, militaristic issues and wars have now shifted to issues that threaten human security, one of which is drug smuggling. Ammd echoes 'drug free asean 2025' to strengthen the commitment to combating drugs for asean countries, this study discusses various efforts made by indonesia in achieving the program. With a qualitative descriptive method, researchers try to explain various findings regarding efforts and strategies for handling drug smuggling in indonesia, this is assisted by the concept of human security to dissect this problem. The findings found by researchers are regarding the fact that drug cases have decreased, as well as various new modes of operation carried out by suppliers and couriers, as well as regulations on new types of narcotics or nps (new psychoactive substances). Efforts from the bnn, both through preventive and repressive efforts, have been carried out, one of which is through cooperation through the asean ammd forum which increases knowledge for asean countries including indonesia in dealing with drug problems, one of which is through more effective prevention efforts and the use of ai (artificial intelligence) technology.
