Abstract

Farmer corporations are cooperative efforts among farmers by uniting relatively small businesses into large-scale businesses and fulfilling economies of scale in one farmer business institutional management. This research aims to: (1) identify the ability of farmers to raise capital at PT Telang Agro Mandiri; (2) analyze farmers' willingness to raise capital in PT Telang Agro Mandiri farmer corporation and its influencing factors; (3) estimate the benefits of capital services by PT Telang Agro Mandiri farmer corporation for member farmers. This study was conducted in October 2023. Data were collected through face-to face interview using questionnaire. Collected data were then analyzed using the SPSS Statistic 24. The results showed that based on the profits that farmers get from farming, the ability of farmers to raise capital is divided into 3 where 30% of farmers with very low to low profit levels do not have the ability to raise capital in the farmers' corporation, 46% of farmers with moderate profit levels can be said to have the potential to raise capital in the farmers' corporation, 24% of farmers with high to very high profit levels have the ability to raise capital in the farmers' corporation. The farmer's desire to raise capital is significantly influenced by the farmer's education level and farmer income, the farmer's interest in cultivating capital has an insignificant effect, while the number of family dependents and land area have no effect on the farmer's desire to raise capital. PT Telang Agro Mandiri's farmer corporation services were proven to provide benefits to its member farmers. The result showed that the benefit obtained by member farmers was significantly higher than that obtained by non-members.
